The Governing Board of Ightenhill Primary School are looking for enthusiastic, child-centred support staffto join our SENDteam.
We are a school which is builton relationships and these are based around our seven school values of Ambition, Cooperation, Honesty, Kindness, Resilience, Respect and Responsibility.
Our teaching assistants support pupils learning and also support our pupils wider pastoral needs in the classroom and beyond.
We are looking to recruit additional SENDstaff to support pupils with EHCP's and other pupils with additional learning needs.

Our staff are Trauma Informed and the ability to form positive, genuine relationships with pupils is essential in this role.
We recognise the challenges that our school community face and are ambitious for all our pupils to thrive and achieve in school. Our inclusion staff are key members of our teamthey work with groups of pupils in the classroom, support individual children and deliver interventions.
You will need to be adaptable, patient, empathetic, organised and most importantly possessa positive mindset and be willing to learn and grow with our children.

The roles are being advertised as 30hour a week posts and includes lunchtime responsibility.
The position is advertised to start in November 2026, but we may beable to start earlier if the successful candidate is available to do so.
These positions are fixed‑term contracts initially for two years until 31/08/2028 with the possibility of being extended or made permanent if funding allows.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

Essential Qualifications- GCSE Grade 5 or equivalent in Mathematics and English
- TA2or equivalent qualification.
- TA3 or equivalent qualification.
- Emergency First Aid
- Any other relevant qualifications.
- Relevant experience worked with primary age pupils in a school setting.
- An understanding of the importance of safeguarding in a school setting.
- Experiencing working with children with additional learning, behavioural or emotional needs.
- An understanding of Trauma Informed Practice.
- Delivering specific interventions to support behaviour.
