Burnley High School wishes to appoint a hardworking, enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher on a fixed term contract from December 2026 for approximately 12 months. The Job
The Science Teacher will:
Teach across KS3 & 4 ScienceImplement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support the teaching of ScienceMonitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and a form tutorFacilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potentialContribute to raising standards of student attainmentShare and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growthWhat are the job requirements?
Qualified Teacher StatusQualified to at least degree level in a Science based subject/or adequate post degree conversion courseProven record or evidence from teaching practice of potential to help students reach high standards of learning and achievementExcellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and re-prioritise workload when neededA high level of self-awareness – knows strengths and weaknesses and can relate to difficult personality types wellExcellent ICT skills for teachingAmongst the many benefits of working within the Trust you will receive:
