Pro rata to term time only: £27,109 - £30,747

37 hours per week 8am – 4pm
The Governors at Shuttleworth College are seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated HLTA to join the SEND department. This pivotal role is central to ensuring exceptional SEND provision across a year group, working closely with students, families and staff while providing leadership and support to Teaching Assistants to help every student achieve their full potential.
About the Role- Lead and coordinate SEND provision across a year group
- Manage and support a team of Teaching Assistants
- Coordinate interventions, assessments and referrals
- Work closely with students, families, staff and external agencies
- Support EHCP processes, reviews and transition arrangements
- Has experience working with children and in a classroom environment
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
- Has a strong commitment to inclusion
- Can lead, motivate and develop others
- Is passionate about improving outcomes for students with additional needs

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.
Essential Qualifications- Recognised and relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Degree qualification or working toward.
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy.
- HLTA Status.
- Experience of working with children
- Experience of working in a classroom environment
- Experience of Administrative work
- Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
- Staff management experience
