This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a machinery manufacturer delivering large projects across the UK and internationally.
This is an exciting, innovative role within a business that is entering a significant growth phase. You will be joining a forward thinking engineering team and working in a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer position, designing full machinery using Solid Works and taking projects from concept through to build.
The Mechanical Design Engineer must have experience designing full machinery with Solid Works.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
Research and concept development through to detailed design
Taking existing designs and adapting them into new machine formats
Modifying and improving existing equipment and machinery
Supporting the build and development of prototypes
Designing fabricated components and assemblies in mild steel
Working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components
Producing detailed drawings and documentation for manufacture
Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
Experience designing full machinery
Proficient in Solid Works and AutoCAD
Experience managing designs through the full project lifecycle, from concept through to manufacture and installation
Good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
Knowledge of electrical components and interfaces
