NW Recruitment Services Ltd are recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering business operating within the industrial combustion and heating sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Industrial Gas Engineer to join their service and commissioning team.
A hands-on, field-based position covering the servicing, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding of industrial combustion and heating systems across a range of manufacturing environments.
The role is particularly suited to an electrically biased engineer with strong diagnostic skills and previous industrial combustion experience.
Key responsibilities- Service, commission and maintain industrial combustion and heating systems.
- Diagnose electrical, control and combustion-related faults.
- Support breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance.
- Work with direct and indirect-fired systems, tube firing, nozzle-mix and pre-mix burners.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and control circuits.
- Complete service reports and customer documentation.
- Provide professional customer support while working on-site.
- Liaise with engineering, design and manufacturing teams on project requirements.
- Gas Safe Registered / ACS Certified.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with industrial combustion equipment and systems.
- Strong electrical fault-finding ability.
- Ability to interpret electrical/control drawings.
- Professional and confident customer-facing approach.
- Experience working within time-critical projects.
- Installation and commissioning experience.
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers.
- Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours support.
- Willingness to travel internationally on occasion.
- Commitment to continued technical development.
The role will involve work across sectors including food production, aluminium, automotive, aerospace, composites, textiles and specialist industrial processing.
Package- £45,000 – £55,000 DOE
