Catering Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant, to provide a friendly and efficient service to all users of the catering facilities across the College.

You will work across the College's new food outlets, barista‑style coffee house and refectory.

• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors.
• Assist with the preparation, serving and cleaning of catering areas.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet daily service requirements.
• Operate electronic tills and handle transactions accurately.
• Support the team in maintaining food hygiene standards.

• Good general education, including numeracy and literacy skills.
• Existing Food Hygiene certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience of working within a catering establishment.
• Experience with electronic tills is advantageous.
• Ability to work on one's own initiative and as part of a team, with excellent customer service skills.

30 hours per week, on a term‑time only basis. A flexible approach to working hours is required, in line with the needs of the College.

Up to £24,559 pro rata.

This role is located on site delivery.

The College does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to sponsor individuals for Skilled Worker Visas.
