Master Scheduler/Senior Production Planner

Burnley

40,000‑GBP
50,000 (Dependent on Experience)

My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler/ Planning Manager to join their team due to continued growth and expansion.

This role will involve building and maintaining the schedules for both production and project. The will involve planning and coordinating with multiple departments and adjusting timelines to avoid issues such as delays or unexpected changes in demand.

Master Scheduler Requirements
  • Proven Experience planning in an engineering manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of scheduling software and ERP/MRP platforms
  • Experience communicating with different departments
  • Strong organisational, planning, and time management abilities
  • Confident communication and relationship building skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment
Planning Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage schedules
    :
    Create and maintain integrated master schedules for production or project activity. Factor in resources, dependencies, constraints, and operational realities.
  • Collaborate across departments
    :
    Work closely with engineers, department leads, production teams, procurement, sales, and logistics to make sure everyone stays aligned and informed.
  • Monitor and analyse performance
    :
    Track actual progress against the schedule, review performance information such as inventory levels and output, and highlight risks or issues before they escalat[e].
  • Adjust and optimise
    :
    Revise schedules in response to changes in demand, equipment problems, supply chain disruption, or other operational challenges. Use capacity assessments to keep production aligned with demand.
  • Communicate and report
    :
    Share schedule updates, progress, and any required changes with all relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
