We are currently recruiting for a company in the Burnley area who are looking for a Press Brake Operator. In this role you will operate a variety of manual and automated machinery. The role involves producing high quality metal materials to meet production and quality targets.

Duties and responsibilities

* Experience of setting and using Amada HFT and HFE Press Brakes for production according to specifications provided.

* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

* Setting and operating machines to ensure accurate and precise bending and forming of metal components using various materials.

* Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure that they meet the required specifications and quality standards.

* Using appropriate tools, dies, and fixtures to produce the work.

* Material Handling including loading and unloading sheet materials into the machine.

* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure its optimal performance.

* Work as part of a Team with team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.

* Identifying and reporting any defects to deviations from specifications.

* Following all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Experience required

* Experienced in operating Amada press brake machines.

* Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, tools and equipment.

* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Ability to accurately measure and evaluate the dimensions of metal. components.

* Prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required to cover workloads and deadlines

Hours of work and rates of pay

* Monday – Thursday working 4 days 6.30am to 5pm

* 40 hours per week

* Rate of pay between £13.38 to £14.80 per hour – depending on experience

* Initially paid weekly
