Position: Machine Operator (packaging)

We have facilities across the UK and are looking for new talent to join our team in Burnley.

Key responsibilities as a Slitter Operator
  • Operate high-speed Slitting Machinery in accordance with the conversion of flexible packaging.
  • Carry out basic maintenance on the machine, such as lubrication and clean-downs.
  • Challenge machine low run hours, speeds, waste levels, set-ups, etc.
  • Conduct quality inspections and maintain administration in line with customer specifications and standards.
  • Liaise with the Shift Manager to ensure engineering breakdowns are reported and fixed promptly, considering priorities.
  • Ensure all machines have enough material to maximize uptime.
  • Keep all paperwork up to date.
  • Verify labeling accuracy and keep wrapping up to date.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping at all times.
  • Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

    • Full training will be provided.

    Shift Pattern

    The attractive shift pattern involves working a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts, averaging 14 shifts per month.

    Salary

    Starting at £27,860, with potential salary increases as you progress through our bespoke training programme.
