Skilled CNC Machinist
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Pay: £16.21 per hour plus shift allowance
Contract: Full-time, permanent
We are recruiting an experienced Skilled CNC Machinist to join an established engineering manufacturer in Burnley. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served engineer with CNC setting, operating and programming experience.
The position operates across a mixture of day, twilight and night shifts, so applicants must be flexible to work across the full rotating shift pattern.
The roleAs a Skilled CNC Machinist, you will set and operate CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality components in line with engineering drawings, production targets and required tolerances.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting tools, fixtures and machine offsets
- Loading materials onto CNC machines
- Setting and operating CNC lathes and machining centres
- Programming and adjusting machines using Fanuc, Okuma or Mazak controls
- Machining stainless-steel components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Measuring completed components using appropriate inspection equipment
- Working accurately to tight tolerances
- Completing quality and traceability documentation
