About the Role

At Red-Fern
, the Strategic Account Manager is the driving force behind our client partnerships, combining analytical precision with creative vision to deliver marketing strategies that perform and inspire. This role is equal parts strategist and storyteller – someone who understands how data and narrative work together to influence audiences, differentiate brands, and achieve measurable business results.

Acting as a strategic advisor, you’ll partner with clients to uncover their business objectives, translate insights into actionable plans, and guide the creation of campaigns that balance creativity with commercial impact. You’ll use performance metrics and market intelligence to shape strategic direction, ensuring every initiative not only looks great but drives tangible outcomes.

Within the agency, you’ll collaborate across teams – from PPC and SEO to creative and content – to connect the dots between brand storytelling and measurable performance. You’ll champion a unified vision for each account, ensuring strategies remain innovative, relevant, and rooted in results.

In this role, success means bringing clarity to complexity, aligning strategy with story, and helping brands achieve growth through ideas that both move people and move the needle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the lead point of contact for assigned key accounts, managing client relationships with professionalism and strategic insight.
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans aligned with client business goals, ensuring high-impact outcomes across campaigns and channels.
  • Collaborate with internal creative, media, and analytics teams to deliver integrated marketing solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, upselling, and cross‑selling services based on client needs and emerging market trends.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve ROI.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, quarterly business reviews, and performance reports.
  • Stay informed on industry developments and competitors to proactively advise clients on new opportunities.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and scopes to ensure delivery excellence within defined constraints.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of account management or client strategy experience, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Proven record of building long‑lasting client relationships and managing large, strategic accounts.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing landscapes, including paid media, content, and analytics.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and CRM platforms (e.g. Hub Spot and Teamwork).
Why join our team?
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Join a forward‑thinking agency where you’ll work on exciting brands, use the latest tools and marketing platforms, grow your skills, and collaborate with a passionate team to deliver impactful, measurable results.
  • Personal £500 annual learning & development budget to be used for courses, gaining certifications or attending events.
  • Hybrid and flexible working: 2 days at our office and 3 at home, with additional flexibility to suit your lifestyle or unexpected appointments.
  • 29 days paid holiday (including bank holidays) as standard. Through our earned holiday scheme you’ll gain additional holidays the longer you work with us and also have the option to ‘buy’ additional holidays for those big life events.
  • Health cash plan which allows you to claim money back on any health costs such as dental check‑ups, glasses and physiotherapy.
  • Regular team socials, culture sessions, and community care projects.
  • Opportunities to grow your skills and career within an award‑winning digital agency.
