We are looking for a Quality Controller
- Components to join our Quality team, supporting manufacturing operations to ensure the highest standards of product quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.

The Opportunity As a Quality Controller, you will conduct product and process inspections to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications and process requirements.

You will play a critical role in identifying and managing non-conformities, implementing containment activities, and supporting corrective actions to ensure all products meet customer, regulatory and internal quality requirements.

Working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams, you will contribute to reducing the cost of non-quality, improving process capability and driving continuous improvement throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspection & Compliance Conduct product and process inspections in line with engineering requirements. Verify compliance against drawings, specifications and manufacturing standards. Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation. Validate product conformity prior to release.

- Non-Conformance Management Identify, investigate and record non-conformances. Support containment activities to prevent further quality escapes. Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action implementation. Support concession reduction and defect prevention initiatives.

- Quality Improvement Apply quality tools and problem-solving techniques to improve product quality. Support reduction of internal and external non-quality costs. Monitor quality performance and identify improvement opportunities. Contribute to continuous improvement activities across manufacturing operations.

- Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory and HSE requirements. Follow approved procedures, work instructions and policies. Escalate product, process or safety concerns using company reporting systems

Candidate skills & requirements

Essential Skills & Experience
- Time-served apprenticeship within a manufacturing environment. (NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field)- Product and process inspection experience.

- Strong understanding of GD&T and datum systems.

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

- Experience using metrology and inspection equipment.

- Knowledge of non-conformance management and anomaly investigation.

- Root cause analysis experience using 5 Why, Ishikawa, RCA and 8D methodologies.

- Understanding of quality standards and quality assurance processes.

- Ability to interpret technical documentation, process sheets and work instructions. Knowledge of Sheet Metal and/or Heat Treatment processes.

- Experience using SAP Quality Module.

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and quality software packages.

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.

- General aeronautical knowledge.

- Statistical Process Control (SPC) experience.

- Knowledge of capability studies and control charts.

- Experience using SPC Vision.

- Understanding of shelf-life controlled products.

- Knowledge of aerospace marking requirements.
