As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering safe and effective fitness programs to our members, ensuring their satisfaction and well‑being. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a safe environment within the gym, excellent communication skills, and a keen focus on customer care.
Working as part of a team and also on your own, you will be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities Induction Programs – Design and conduct gym induction programs tailored to meet members’ expectations and capabilities; prescribe fitness workouts that align with individual health profiles obtained through pre‑exercise screening.Supervision & Safety – Monitor the gym to ensure the safe conduct of members; maintain awareness of potential hazards and take proactive measures to address dangers; uphold high standards of safety and effectiveness in all fitness activities; maintain regular contact with members, especially those with reduced usage, to enhance retention; provide excellent customer care to ensure a positive and supportive environment for all members.Facility Maintenance – Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines for the gym and equipment; report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure a well‑functioning facility.Confidentiality & Data Protection – Safeguard the confidentiality of members’ personal information in compliance with the GDPR legislation.Exercise Classes & Personal Training – Experience of teaching classes is essential; deliver exercise classes with a focus on safety and effectiveness; provide personalised and effective personal training sessions.Work Schedule – Rotate through shifts between 5:45am and 9:45pm, including full weekend shifts for our seven‑day facility.Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Fitness & class instructor
- Hold a valid first aid certificate
- Take an active role in and contribute to gym challenges and team activities
