Graduate Engineer - Transportation Design

Graduate Engineer

Base pay range: $34.50/hr - $39.00/hr

• Assist in the design and coordination of roadway projects for government agencies such as City, County and State DOT
• Perform design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, develop design specifications, alignment and profile design, and prepare plans
• Learn the industry by attending client meetings and taking meeting minutes

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a condition of employment and must be achieved at the time of hire or within six (6) months of the start date to maintain employment
• Seeking 1–4 years of experience in Transportation engineering or related field is preferred
• Ability to prepare, read and understand construction plans and technical documents and have a functional understanding of design software packages, specifically MS Excel, MS Word and preferably Micro Station
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic will allow you to excel in this position
