We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in designing and developing electronic systems. This role involves working on complex projects within the high‑tech defense industry and requires a keen understanding of both analog and digital design principles.

• Design and develop Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) with a focus on 6–7 layer boards.
• Engage in R&D design efforts, including conceptualizing and implementing new solutions from scratch.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure seamless integration of designs into existing systems.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers while working closely with the cable and EE teams.
• Select and populate board components, ensuring optimal power distribution and system integration.
• Incorporate both analog and digital design elements, managing 3‑phase 115V AC power systems.
• Utilize Altium for schematic design and layout, exploring other toolsets as needed.

• Minimum of 7 years experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on design.
• Proficiency in Altium and experience with PCB/PWB design.
• Strong knowledge of 3‑phase 115V AC power systems and digital signal processing.
• Experience in R&D and IRAD projects, with the ability to lead and innovate.
• Master's degree preferred; however, a BSEE or equivalent 4‑year degree is required.

• Experience with DC power supplies and components, including 5V, 12V, and 28V systems.
• Familiarity with digital signals such as copper data, fiber data, video, and audio.
• Ability to take on a leadership role and mentor other engineers.
• Additional years of experience can compensate for a lack of a 4‑year degree.

This is a Contract position based out of Burnsville, MN.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $58.00/hr.
