• Support existing products with investigations, design improvements, and documentation updates
• Perform tolerance analysis on components and assemblies to ensure proper fit/function
• Use CAD solid modeling techniques to prepare components and assembly models and drawings
• Write test requests, supporting design verification and testing. Analyze test data
• Specify material joining methods and specifications for processes such as welding and brazing

• This is a great opportunity to learn fundamental principles of the aviation industry, gain experience in multidisciplinary technology development, regulations, and gain experience in presenting technical information.

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with computer aided design (CAD) software such as Creo and/or Solid Works

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

• Experience with mechanical design and modeling software such as ANSYS and/or MATLAB
• A minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint)
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
