This includes oversight and management of the church finance team, facilities team, IT team, human resource team, the budgeting process and working closely with all other church ministries to support their operational needs.
Core responsibilities include oversight of day-to-day logistical operations staff and resources, as well as implementing efficient systems to support various church activities while being in compliance with all legal guidelines.
- Partner with the Executive Pastor to translate vision into executable operational strategies and measurable ministry outcomes.
- Lead long-range planning and resource alignment across departments to support Berean’s mission and annual goals.
- Evaluate emerging trends in ministry operations, technology, and stewardship to position Berean for sustained impact in a changing ministry landscape.
- Steward major strategic initiatives, ensuring clarity of purpose, alignment of people and resources, and consistent progress evaluation.
- Design, document, and continually improve operational systems and processes that enhance efficiency, collaboration, and accountability across all ministry areas.
- Integrate church management systems (finance, HR, facilities, IT) into a cohesive operational model that supports scalability and excellence.
- Identify interdependencies and system bottlenecks, using data and feedback loops to drive continuous improvement.
- Build organization-wide resilience by anticipating operational risks and developing proactive contingency plans.
- Provide vision, coaching, and accountability for a diverse team of professionals and leaders, fostering an environment of trust, excellence, and shared purpose.
- Model servant leadership and a collaborative spirit that encourages innovation and ownership among team members.
- Establish clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and develop pathways for professional and spiritual growth.
- Build strong cross-departmental relationships to ensure operations support ministry outcomes rather than constrain them.
- Oversee financial stewardship, budgeting, and reporting in partnership with the Finance Committee and external auditors.

- Leverage financial data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Maintain fiduciary accountability through internal controls, risk mitigation, and financial integrity at every level.
- Demonstrate discernment and sound judgment when addressing complex organizational challenges or ambiguous situations.
- Make data-informed, mission-aligned decisions in collaboration with leadership teams and ministry partners. Oversee compensation decisions using sound practices.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately when evaluating trade-offs between ministry priorities, budget constraints, and staffing capacity.
- Ensure decisions align with Berean’s core values, policies, and spiritual mission.
- Oversee the development and enforcement of policies that promote safety, compliance, and responsible stewardship of church assets and facilities.
- Lead crisis management planning and response for both predictable and unprecedented situations (e.g., public safety incidents, major facility failures, or financial irregularities).
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as denominational standards and ethical guidelines.
