We have an opportunity for a strategic Manufacturing Operations Manager with proven excellence in leadership and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with your team of supervisors and supporting teams to ensure alignment with customer needs with a strong focus on improving safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance of your operations team.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced aerospace manufacturing environment and is passionate about driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

What You Will Do
  • Lead daily plant operations across multiple production cells, ensuring alignment with established goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and manufacturing employees to ensure operational excellence and workforce engagement.
  • Collaborate with planning to schedule and sequence work to meet production goals, optimize workflow, and ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Drive cost reduction, process improvement, and lean manufacturing initiatives to maximize efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Partner with Value Stream’s Engineering, Quality, and Production Control team members to ensure production goals, customer requirements, and process standards are consistently achieved.
  • Lead materials and logistics coordination to ensure the availability of materials and minimize production disruptions.
  • Champion safety programs, including behavior‑based safety and job hazard analysis, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Analyze production and labor data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for operational growth and innovation—including advanced manufacturing technologies such as additive manufacturing.
  • Manage staffing plans, recruitment, training, and performance development initiatives to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Works directly in support of Value Stream customers to understand their needs, help resolve issues, and ensure superior service and product delivery.
  • Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through CORE operating system.
  • Lead Kaizen events to drive improvements and mentor your team on utilizing Lean principles to accomplish their goals.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 8 years prior manufacturing experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience. STEM degree preferred.
  • 5 + years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with people management.
  • Experience leading and sustaining a Continuous Improvement culture with single‑piece flow and mixed‑model production.
  • On Site Leadership Experience including people management skills, Conflict Resolution, Policy Compliance or Employee Career Progression.
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles.

  • Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels.
