** problem-solving skills**. If you are a skilled machinist with a flexible growth mindset and the ability to shift priorities quickly, this could be your ideal position.
* Production Machining of routine and custom products using manual mills and lathes.
* Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to perform set ups and production processes.
* Calibrate machines to perform operations within its capability by positioning, aligning, securing work, utilizing and adapting appropriate tools.
* Use analytical skills to formulate machine adjustments and perform the machining process.
* Collaborating with engineering teams to optimize production processes and resolve and develop unique solutions.
* Utilize of inspection equipment including indicators, micrometers, calipers, and surface plates.
* Inspect and certify your work product.
* Work independently using all resources available to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
* Perform daily, quarterly, annual Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
* Effectively work in an environment requiring both repetitive and unique products.
* Maintain focus on safety and quality.
* Build manufacturing fixtures.
* Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
* Strong understanding of CNC lathes and mills
* The ability to make TLO and fixture offsets.
* U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:
* Two-year machinist/tooling degree.
* Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.
* Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprint and technical documentation.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
