Position Overview

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to lead and motivate a team of professionals, own and optimize cell productivity, schedule & sequencing, and foster a collaborative, achievement‑driven environment. This leadership role focuses on continuous improvement, problem solving under pressure, and championing a culture of individual development and team success.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all quality related items for multiple Shared Resource cells are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
  • Guide cost reduction and process improvement in multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Plan and execute scheduling for multiple complex cells to meet production schedules.
  • Facilitate tier I and attend tier II meetings daily, resolving all issues impacting production and escalating those that cannot be addressed with IPT.
  • Guide the sequencing of work (build and delivery) for multiple cells or a complex cell to optimize productivity.
  • Facilitate activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure material availability and smooth operations.
  • Guide production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for multiple cells or a complex cell to enhance production capabilities.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure satisfactory service.
  • Ensure all employees maintain a safety‑first mindset and adhere to EHS policies.
  • Execute production plan in line with the MPS to achieve on‑time delivery, hours, and efficiency commitments.
  • Perform real‑time problem resolution and troubleshoot issues as they arise without management direction.
  • Effectively manage resource requirements in line with capacity models and demand rates.
  • Participate in pulse surveys, listen to feedback, and drive improvement actions.
  • Lead and conduct meetings/reviews and prepare information to communicate program status to internal and external customers.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a STEM degree or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years relevant experience with specialized knowledge; 6 years if no degree).
  • 2 years of manufacturing leadership experience (preferred).
  • LEAN certification (preferred).
  • SAP proficiency (preferred).
  • Collaborative leadership behaviors emphasizing high goal setting, team empowerment, and support.
  • Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early and concisely with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve challenges.

Schedule

2nd Shift (Monday‑Thursday): 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (4 × 10).
