Fairview Health Services is searching for hardworking RNs looking for an exciting career in our Pediatric Unit located at our Burnsville, Minnesota campus! Our hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions. The hospital has been providing state‑of‑the‑art care and community services to the residents of the sophisticated Minnesota Valley since 1984.

Schedule: This position is 48 hours per pay period, nights, 12 hour shifts, every third weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Fairview Ridges Pediatric staff work on a 16‑bed unit that accepts pediatric patients and overflow adult patients. The types of patient diagnosis include respiratory illness, hyperbilirubinemia, appendectomies, urinary tract infection, sepsis, gastroenteritis, dehydration. The culture is one of teamwork & collaboration between ALL.

• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care.
• Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
• Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership‑based health care.
• Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
• Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP).

• Active MN RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• PEARS or PALS certification acquired by the end of orientation.
• NRP certification acquired by the end of orientation.

• BSN or BAN.
• RN Med/Surg acute care experience.
• One year clinical experience in an in‑patient pediatric setting.
