Purchasing Associate HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical

Hurlburt Heating, AC, Plumbing & Electrical has served homeowners since 1959. We’re a growing team that takes the details seriously — and we’re hiring a Purchasing & Inventory Associate to help build our purchasing, inventory, and warehouse operations.
* This role combines purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse coordination
* to ensure our technicians have the parts and materials they need to serve our customers efficiently.
* What you’ll do
** Place stock orders and source special-order parts for technicians
* Own the purchase order lifecycle from placement through delivery
* Build vendor relationships — and lean on them to expedite parts and hold competitive pricing
* Receive shipments, stock materials, and stage parts for upcoming jobs
* Run cycle counts and inventory audits
* Track item velocity and usage to keep stock levels right — not too thin, not tied up
* Unload deliveries and keep the warehouse clean and organized
* Operate a forklift and pallet jack (training available)
* A typical day
* Receive a pallet of HVAC parts and get it stocked. Order material for the week’s plumbing, HVAC or electrical installs. Track down a hard-to-find part a tech needs today. Run cycle counts on your fastest-moving SKUs. Stage equipment for tomorrow’s install crew.

* What we’re looking for:

** Required
* * 1+ years in purchasing, inventory, warehouse, parts counter, or inside sales
* Comfortable splitting your day between a computer and the warehouse floor
* Solid with Excel and able to learn a new inventory system quickly
* Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand, bend, and move throughout the day
* Nice to have
** HVAC, plumbing, or electrical supply house experience
* Experience with Service Titan or a similar ERP/inventory platform
* Current forklift certification
