Vehicle Cosmetic Technician

Up to £40,000 + Performance Bonus | Burton upon Trent | Full-Time | Permanent

It's the details that make a vehicle look exceptional.

Motor Sorted is opening a new garage in Burton upon Trent, and we're looking for an experienced Vehicle Cosmetic Technician to join the team.

From scratches and paint imperfections to alloys, bumpers, trims and interiors, you'll take vehicles that aren't quite there and get them looking their best again.

We're building the team from the ground up, and we want the people who join first to help shape how the workshop runs.

You’ll take ownership of cosmetic preparation and repairs across a range of vehicles, including:

Carrying out SMART repairs and cosmetic refinishing

Minor paint repairs, scratch removal and polishing

Paint preparation and colour matching

Repairing alloys, bumpers and trims

Carrying out interior cosmetic repairs and restoration

Preparing vehicles to a high, sale-ready standard

Identifying cosmetic issues and deciding the best approach to repair

Delivering consistently high-quality work while working efficiently

We're looking for someone with real skill and pride in their craft, and an eye for the details other people miss.

You’ll ideally have:

Experience in SMART repair, cosmetic vehicle repair or bodyshop work

Strong paint preparation and colour matching knowledge

Excellent attention to detail

The confidence to carry out a range of cosmetic repairs

The ability to work independently and take ownership of your jobs

A positive, team‑focused approach

A full UK driving licence

We're opening a new garage in Burton, and we want it to be somewhere good technicians want to work.

Up to £40,000, depending on experience

Performance bonus

A permanent, full-time position

Varied work across cars, vans and motorhomes

The chance to join from day one and help shape the workshop

If you're someone who gets satisfaction from standing back at the end of a job and seeing the difference you've made, we'd like to hear from you.
