Join the Close Brothers Commercial Team where you will support the direct sales teams local to your regional sales hub throughout the customer onboarding journey, liaising with new and existing customers to drive new business, manage or support the submission of proposals to underwriting, performing initial due diligence activities, requesting timely support from the operations function to support customer sign‑up and facility activation.
Working as part of the Asset Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in customer service and relationship management with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Responsibilities- Liaise with Credit and Operations functions plus customers, brokers and suppliers to solve proposal or deal documentation accuracy issues to enable timely customer outcomes.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our company's values and maintaining a positive brand image at all times.
- Create or support the construction of inbound proposals and perform any initial due diligence activities required.
- Engage with Customers, Brokers and Suppliers via telephone and email, providing outstanding support to address proposal related enquiries and to resolve issues.
- Understand the team business strategy, vision/mission and personal contribution to it.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers via telephone, emails, and on occasion face to face meetings.
- Understand and comply with standard operating procedures to meet the Group’s Conduct Risk policies and the expectations of our regulators.
- The ability to communicate with both customers and colleagues at all levels of seniority and liaise effectively with other internal departments.
- Proven experience in customer service, relationship management or a related role.
- Proficiency in handling customer enquiries and resolving issues with a customer‑centric approach.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Numerate and analytical ability.
- Familiarity with CRM software and other customer support tools.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Previous knowledge of the Financial Services industry and in a similar customer facing role.
