French Teacher

£280 – £460 per week depending on experience

About the role

Connex Education is working in partnership with a welcoming Secondary School in the Burton upon Trent (DE13) area, who are recruiting for a part‑time French Teacher from January. This role is for 2 days per week and is a long‑term supply position.

The role will involve delivering French lessons across KS3 and KS4. Full classroom responsibilities are expected during teaching days, including lesson delivery, behaviour management, and supporting pupils’ progress. Planning and marking may be required, depending on the school’s timetable and needs.

They are seeking a confident and reliable teacher who can deliver engaging French lessons and build positive relationships with pupils.

Person Specification
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant UK teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching French at secondary level
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 MFL curriculum
  • Ability to deliver engaging and accessible language lessons
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
