This is a split site secondary school based near to the town of Burton on Trent. Feedback from staff members that have worked in similar roles detail the schools exceptionally supportive staff and the pleasant, confident and ambitious pupils. Due to the need to work across two sites, own transport will be required.

• Teacher of Drama and performing arts
• 0.6 (3 days) per week
• To teach drama to KS3 and KS4 pupils
• Full lesson planning, delivery and assessment of work required
• Possibility of assisting with a form / tutor group

To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:

• Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) proven by providing your Teacher Reference Number
• Experience of working as a teacher in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms since obtaining QTS.
• Experience of teaching Drama (other performing arts will be considered)
• Full enhanced DBS certificate
• Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process
• The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teacher.
• A minimum of 2 school based references

• An established department with a supporting HoD and peers
• Completed schemes of work and a robustly designed curriculum
• Dedicated ‘outside of classroom’ support for pupils requiring individual attention and academic/behavioural support
• Optional continued CPD via the schools dedicated training and coaching provider

• Guaranteed teacher pay scale compliant rates of pay as a minimum
• Extensive support and assistance from a dedicated Connex Education employment specialist
• Free CPD via our partner platform Academize, covering a wide range of specialist training and guidance
