Who are we looking for?

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and inspiring Course Leader for Level 1 and 2 Art and Design to join our highly successful department.

As Course Leader, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment, contributing to excellence across the curriculum through innovative and engaging practice. You will create stimulating learning opportunities that enable all students to develop their skills, confidence and creativity, supporting them to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will lead our Level 1 and Level 2 Art and Design programmes, while also contributing to teaching on Level 3 courses. You will bring current and relevant industry or practitioner experience, ensuring students benefit from contemporary knowledge and an understanding of the creative sector.

Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you will help develop and enhance students' specialist artistic and creative digital skills, preparing them for progression into further study, employment and careers within the creative industries.

We are looking for a passionate educator with the ability to teach a range of traditional art and design disciplines, including:

Drawing
Painting
3D art and design
Ceramics

Experience of teaching or applying creative digital skills would be advantageous.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of artists and designers within a vibrant and ambitious curriculum area.

Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
