Salary: £160 - £250 per day (inclusive of rolled up holiday pay)

Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a KS2 Cover Teacher to work within a welcoming primary school in Burton-on-Trent.

This part-time role is due to start on Friday 6th November 2026 and offers an excellent opportunity for a flexible and enthusiastic teacher looking to make a positive impact across Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining high standards of behaviour and ensuring continuity of learning across the classroom.

This role would suit an experienced teacher, recently qualified teacher, or a professional seeking greater flexibility while continuing to work within a rewarding school environment.

As a KS2 Cover Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 2 classes
• Follow school planning to ensure continuity of learning
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of individual pupils
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Maintain high expectations for learning and achievement

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
• Be adaptable, flexible and confident covering different year groups
• Have strong communication and organisational skills
• Be passionate about supporting pupils’ educational development
