Make an impact by joining SOCOTEC’s award‑winning Fire Safety teams. In this role you will lead fire risk assessments, compartmentation and fire door surveys, provide expert advice, review plans, develop and audit management procedures, and deliver engaging fire safety training.
The role offers an opportunity to progress into a senior position, eventually leading a growing team and expanding a client base across Ireland.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Performing fire compartmentation & integrity surveys
- Carrying out fire door inspections
- Minimum 5 years of current experience conducting full and comprehensive fire risk assessments
- Working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Full understanding of building regulations and the associated requirements for fire safety and relevant guidance documents
- Understanding and knowledge of compartmentation within construction, including floors, walls, doors, fire stopping installations, penetration sealing products and techniques, and fire/smoke dampers
- Detailed knowledge of British Standards relating to fire safety installations (fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire safety signage, fire extinguishers, suppression systems, etc.)
- Ability to identify hazards and associated risks, provide guidance to remove or reduce risks to an acceptable level, and manage remaining risks
- Produce detailed reports using SOCOTEC UK Limited templates within required timescales to meet project KPIs and expected standards
- Guide clients through statutory requirements to ensure compliance and maintain expected service levels
