Mechanical Fitter

Pay: £17 per hour rising to £18.79 after 12 weeks | 6 month contract

Burton upon Trent

Shift: Days only with early Friday finish

Hours:

07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday; 07:00 to 13:00 Friday

We are recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to support a busy Fuel Shop operation based in Burton upon Trent. This is a hands on position within a regulated engineering environment, focused on the inspection, installation, testing, fault finding and maintenance of fuel systems and associated test equipment supporting engine testing activity.

• Fault find and diagnose fuel system issues linked to testing operations
• Install, inspect and repair fuel systems and associated components
• Test fuel pumps and injectors, accurately recording results
• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on test rigs

• Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven engineering environment
• Good knowledge of fuel system components including pumps and injectors
• Clear focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement

• Background in rail or automotive environments
• Experience working in regulated or safety critical settings
