Engineering Stores Team Leader
Highly Competitive Salary plus Benefits. 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (8:00am to 4:00pm) & Friday (8:00am to 3:00pm). Flexible working required once per week to support stock counts.

The role of the Stores Team Leader is to take ownership of our engineering & raw material stores and associated inventory management processes. This key role ensures production and maintenance teams have the materials, spare parts and consumables required to operate safely and efficiently. You will lead a small stores team, manage stock control activities, support purchasing processes, and drive continuous improvement across the stores function.
Responsibilities- Champion a robust safety and 5S culture, ensuring full HSE compliance across all stores
- Oversee site wide PPE management, waste tracking and utility reporting
- Lead and optimise engineering, raw material and packaging stores using SAP / MRP
- Drive inventory accuracy, eliminate stockouts, and manage full stock count lifecycle
- Streamline the goods in process to ensure parts are available for planned and reactive maintenance
- Motivate, mentor and develop a high performing stores team through clear objective setting
- Manage the end to end PO process, resolve SAP invoice queries and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Proactively identify cost saving opportunities and alternative supply solutions
- Deliver "world class" stores standards by driving continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
- Manage budgets, track KPI's, and mitigate financial and inventory risks
- Previous experience in a Stores Team Leader, Stores Supervisor or Senior Stores position
- SAP experience within a stock control, stores, warehouse or inventory management environment
- Valid Fork Lift Truck (FLT) licence and ability to operate a forklift truck safely and effectively
- Strong inventory management and stock control experience
- Experience conducting stock counts and inventory audits
- Good understanding of MRP systems and purchasing processes
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
