Ford & Stanley are pleased to be supporting our client based in Burton upon Trent in the recruitment of a Soldering Technician to join their growing production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with soldering experience to secure a long-term contract running through to Christmas. While not guaranteed, there may be the potential for a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
The Role
Working within a manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for carrying out soldering activities throughout the day, ensuring all work is completed to a high-quality standard and in line with customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Soldering electronic components and assemblies.
Working with both through-hole and surface mount (SMT) components.
Following engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality procedures.
Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy and workmanship standards are met.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Supporting production schedules and project deadlines.
About You
Previous soldering experience is essential.
Experience working with through-hole and/or SMT components is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Good manual dexterity and the ability to work accurately on small components.
Reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Interview Process
Candidates will be required to attend an interview, which will include a basic practical soldering test to assess competency and skill level.
Hours & Overtime
Standard working hours are 07:00 - 15:30.
Flexibility may be available, including 08:00 - 16:30.
Plenty of overtime opportunities are available.
Overtime is paid at time and a half.
