- Manage a complex caseload involving Child in Need, Child Protection, Children in Care, and Public Law Outline/Care Proceedings work.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional guidance to social workers, including Newly Qualified Social Workers and students.
- Support the Team Manager with case allocation, risk management, decision-making, and general service delivery oversight.
- Chair and contribute to strategy discussions, core group meetings, professional meetings, and multi-agency safeguarding forums.
- Hold a Degree in Social Work (BA, BSc, MA or equivalent).
- Successfully completed the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
- Demonstrate evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Must be registered with Social Work England (SWE).
- Bring a minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience within statutory children’s social care.
- Show significant experience managing complex safeguarding cases involving child protection and court work.
- Experience in supporting, mentoring, or supervising social work practitioners.
