Support Worker - Burton

As a Support Worker in this home, you’ll play a key role in helping a young person feel safe, supported, and understood.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Providing practical and emotional care in line with the child’s individual plan
• Supporting with education, life skills, and emotional regulation
• Maintaining daily structure, boundaries, and positive routines
• Working closely with the Deputy and Registered Manager to ensure consistent care delivery
• Managing risk and following safeguarding policies at all times
• Contributing to a nurturing home environment rooted in trust, patience, and predictability

This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference every day and is ready to invest in the long-term success of a young person with complex needs.

• Experience supporting young people with emotional or behavioural needs
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to enrol within 6 months)
• Driver’s licence (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
• Calm, consistent, and emotionally resilient approach
• Willingness to work sleep-ins and support a solo placement setting
• Understanding of trauma-informed care and safeguarding principles

Care & Support Services is launching a new solo placement home in Burton-on-Trent. This home is designed to provide safety, structure, and therapeutic support for one young person who requires consistent, stable care from a small and trusted team.
