Pay Rates (LTD):
* Days: £19.50 / hr
* Nights: £21.50 / hr
* Saturday: £22.50 / hr
* Sunday: £24.50 / hr
* Night Out Allowance: £25.00 per night tax-free / non-taxable equivalent
About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers for long-term, ongoing work with a major logistics provider operating out of the Burton-upon-Trent area.
This role involves nationwide trunking and trunking/distribution runs, utilizing clean box trailers with minimal manual handling required. Multiple shift schedules are available to fit around your preferred working pattern—including standard Monday–Friday tramping, 4-on-4-off rotas, or fixed weekend shifts.
Duties include:
* Long-distance trunking and planned distribution across major UK routes
* Clean, straightforward box trailer work with minimal manual labor
* Managing required rest periods, daily vehicle checks, and digital tachograph logging
* Keeping cab standards high during multi-day tramping stints
Key Requirements
* Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
* Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Full flexibility for multi-night tramping stays
* Sound understanding of EU Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive rules
* Reliable, professional, and confident driving long distances nationwide
