Forklift Driver - Nights

Pertemps North Midlands seeks an experienced Forklift Driver - Nights to join a warehouse operation in Burton upon Trent. This full-time position offers £14.45 per hour, with overtime paid at £19.91.

Successful applicants will work 48 hours weekly across a mixture of eight and twelve-hour shifts, scheduled Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday. Duties involve safely operating counterbalance or reach trucks, loading and unloading vehicles, and moving pallets and stock through storage zones. Candidates need prior certification and practical experience. Three days of initial site training precede immediate starts, ensuring newcomers settle into procedures quickly.

We are currently recruiting for experienced FLT Counterbalance / Reach Truck Drivers to join a busy warehouse operation in Burton-on-Trent.

48 hours per week, combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Night shift patterns:
Sunday–Thursday, or Monday–Friday. 3 days of initial site training. Immediate starts available.

• Safely operate FLT Counterbalance and/or Reach Trucks within the warehouse.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Move pallets and stock around the warehouse and storage areas.
• Put away incoming stock into the correct locations.
• Pick and replenish stock as required.
• Load pallets and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Check stock and ensure goods are stored correctly and securely.
• Complete daily FLT safety checks before operating the truck.
• Follow all warehouse health & safety procedures and site regulations.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily targets and deadlines.

• Valid FLT Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licence .
• Previous FLT warehouse experience.
• Good understanding of warehouse health & safety procedures.
• Reliable with good attendance and timekeeping.
• Ability to work night shifts.
• Good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
