Are you keen to learn and eager to kickstart your career in Facilities Management? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic Facilities Management Team as an Area Facilities Officer Apprentice.

Position: Area Facilities Officer Apprentice (two-stage apprenticeship pathway)

Location: Bury Town Hall

Type: 37 hours per week

Stage 1 Grade -4 (£24,796 per annum)

Stage 2 Grade 6 (£25,989 per annum)

About Us: We are committed to providing safe, compliant and high-quality facilities management services across our large and varied estate. As an Area Facilities Officer Apprentice, you will have the chance to learn from experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in various Facilities Management functions, as we support you to achieve a (Stage
1) Level 4 Facilities Manager Apprenticeship and, subject to successful completion, satisfactory performance, organisational need and funding approval, progress to a (Stage
2) Degree Apprenticeship in Facilities and Built Asset Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support day to day facilities operations across multiple sites.
  • Assist with ensuring full compliance with health & safety and statutory building regulations.
  • Help to maintain and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Assist with sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Help with creating safe and productive environments.

Requirements
  • A keen interest in Facilities Management and a desire to learn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Have level 3 qualifications or equivalent.
  • You should have GCSE's at grade 4/C or above or equivalent including English and Mathematics.
