Teaching Assistant

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and wider school staff to support pupils across the school.

• Assisting the class teacher in delivering creative and engaging lessons
• Working with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning
• Supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum
• Helping maintain a calm, positive, and well-organised learning environment
• Preparing learning materials and classroom resources
• Supervising pupils during break times, transitions, or school activities
• Contributing to planning sessions and sharing observations on pupil progress
• Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Whitefield
Pay: £80-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Start: ASAP or next term
Full-time, long-term position

• Experience working in a primary school or with children in an educational setting
• A positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
• The ability to build rapport with pupils and support their wellbeing
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• An understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to pupil safety
• Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2/3 TA) are desirable but not essential for the right candidate
