College SEND Teacher/Instructor
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to support young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding fixed‑term opportunity that involves delivering high‑quality, inclusive education to help learners develop skills, confidence and independence.
The Role- Deliver creative and inclusive teaching across a range of subjects and curriculum pathways.
- Create structured, supportive learning environments that promote engagement, wellbeing and achievement.
- Adapt teaching and communication approaches to meet individual learning and sensory needs.
- Support pupils’ emotional regulation and development using positive, relational approaches.
- Monitor and celebrate progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for learners.
- Play a key role in preparing young people for adulthood, greater independence and lifelong success.
- Passion for inclusive education and SEND.
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
- Commitment to high expectations and personalised learning.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Reflective, adaptable and keen to continue professional development.
