Position: Student Behaviour Mentor | Secondary School |

We're working with a welcoming 11–16 secondary school in Bury that is looking to appoint a Student Behaviour Mentor for a part-time, temporary contract starting in September.

Initially running until October half term, there's a strong possibility the role will be extended for the right candidate.

About the School

The pastoral team works collaboratively to ensure every student receives the support they need, and behaviour is managed through positive relationships, restorative practice, and clear expectations.

The Role

Working alongside an experienced pastoral leader, you'll support students who require additional guidance throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising the school's reflection/isolation room
  • Holding restorative conversations with students
  • Supporting students to return successfully to lessons
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
  • Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff
  • Building positive relationships with students
About You

We're looking for someone who is calm, resilient, and confident communicating with young people.

Experience in any of the following would be highly desirable:

  • Pastoral Support
  • Inclusion Team
  • Youth Worker
  • School Behaviour Support
