- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Senior Engineering or Dev Ops role
, with proven ownership of production e-commerce environments. - Skilled in Scripting and Automation to manage cloud & self-hosted environments.
- Experienced in Application Logic to debug Middleware and API interactions.
- Proficient in the Git Hub ecosystem for version control, release management, and automation.
- Understanding of e-commerce transactional front-end systems
, covering both B2B & D2C markets. - Agile communicator: able to translate business area needs into structured technical plans and articulate technical concepts in non‑technical language to varied stakeholders and vendors.
- Comfortable advising third-party vendors and external partners to match internal standards, ensuring consistent and effective delivery.
- Used to working alongside systems (ERP) teams to ensure seamless integrations and support for wider platform architecture.
- Take ownership of the architecture and integrity of our digital platforms, bridging the gap between application development and operational stability.
- Lead the architecture and optimisation of Git Hub Actions CI/CD pipelines to enable structured, reliable, and auditable deployments.
- Own the integrity of complex Middleware integrations. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless data flow between the eCommerce front-end and back-end systems, and for investigating API logic and data discrepancies at the code level.
- Act as the primary technical authority to external development vendors and integration partners. You will audit their code commits and enforce strict internal standards to ensure their work aligns with our security and business objectives.
- Investigate and resolve complex development and platform issues with minimal supervision, distinguishing between server faults and application logic errors.
- Produce and maintain clear documentation of systems, configurations, and operational processes to ensure traceability and support continuity.
- Apply formal change control processes to all system changes, including version control, peer reviews, and release approvals.
- Implement and maintain deep monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure system availability and performance.
