Community Mental Health Nurse - Treatment team

A Band 6 registered mental health nurse is wanted for the Treatment and Physical Health team in Bury, run by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. The work centres on the team's day-to-day running, including leading junior staff, teaching, taking bloods and giving depot injections, with the post holder covering for the team manager when needed. Clozapine knowledge and experience in a community mental health team are central to the role.

Fit depends on NMC registration and a full UK driving licence with business insurance and a vehicle.

• Day-to-day running of the Treatment team
• Leading junior members of staff
• Teaching staff
• Performing venepuncture
• Administering depot medication
• Taking responsibility for the team in the absence of the team manager

• Nursing qualification

• NMC registration as a mental health nurse

• Experience of working in a community treatment team

• Strong working knowledge of mental health medications
• Strong working knowledge of the effects and side effects of psychotropic medication
• Extensive knowledge of the use of Clozapine

• Full UK driving licence

• Business insurance and use of or ownership of a vehicle

• Venepuncture training
• Extensive knowledge or training in the use of Pochi equipment
• Experience of working in community mental health
• NMP or willingness to undertake training
