An ambitious and expanding independent accountancy practice is seeking an Audit Senior to join its established team in Bury St Edmunds. This opportunity would suit an ACCA or ACA part-qualified professional or a recently qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a supportive environment that offers genuine progression opportunities.

Working with a varied client portfolio, you will gain exposure to businesses of different sizes and sectors, ranging from entrepreneurial owner-managed companies to larger corporate groups.

• Planning, coordinating, and completing audit assignments for a range of clients
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout engagements
• Preparing and reviewing audit documentation in line with professional standards and regulatory requirements
• Identifying areas of risk and providing constructive recommendations to clients
• Supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex audit projects
• Delivering work accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales

• ACCA/ACA part-qualified, studying or recently qualified
• Previous experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
• Strong understanding of the full audit cycle, audit procedures and compliance standards
• Experience working with a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs and corporate groups
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing workloads effectively

• Competitive salary of £35,000 to £45,000, dependent on experience
