This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys managing client relationships, overseeing a varied portfolio, and delivering high-quality accounts and tax services. The Opportunity As Client Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients while supporting the wider office with planning work and staff coordination. You will be involved in all aspects of client management, accounts preparation, taxation, and advisory work.
Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, and Dext would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Managing your own portfolio of clients and acting as their primary point of contact.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Supporting the Bury St Edmunds office with workflow planning and staff organisation.
Managing client deadlines and responding to client queries.
Preparing sole trader, partnership, and limited company accounts.
Preparing personal tax computations and returns.
Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
Reviewing bookkeeping records and VAT returns.
Assisting with ad hoc projects and assignments as required.
About You The successful candidate will demonstrate:
ACCA or ICAEW qualification (or equivalent).
A minimum of 5 years' experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
Strong technical knowledge across accounts production and taxation.
Excellent client management and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach to work.
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
