Bury St Edmunds
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE
An ambitious and expanding independent accountancy practice is seeking an Audit Senior to join its established team in Bury St Edmunds. This opportunity would suit an ACCA or ACA part-qualified professional or a recently qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a supportive environment that offers genuine progression opportunities.
Working with a varied client portfolio, you will gain exposure to businesses of different sizes and sectors, ranging from entrepreneurial owner-managed companies to larger corporate groups.
Key responsibilities- Planning, coordinating, and completing audit assignments for a range of clients
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout engagements
- Preparing and reviewing audit documentation in line with professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Identifying areas of risk and providing constructive recommendations to clients
- Supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex audit projects
- Delivering work accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales
- ACCA/ACA part-qualified, studying or recently qualified
- Previous experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
- Strong understanding of the full audit cycle, audit procedures and compliance standards
- Experience working with a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs and corporate groups
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing workloads effectively
- Competitive salary of £35,000 to £50,000, dependent on experience
