Overview
Merchandising Development Assistant
The Merchandising Development Assistant plays a pivotal role within the Merchandising Development team, providing consistent, high‑quality day‑to‑day support across the wider Merchandising function. The role contributes to the delivery, improvement, and ongoing evolution of key systems and processes, helping to ensure they operate efficiently, meet business needs, and enable teams to work effectively.
Responsibilities- Act as a central point of expertise for merchandising systems and processes, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across internal teams, suppliers, and third‑party partners to enable efficient operational delivery.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity, ensuring supplier information is complete, accurate, and delivered on time to support critical business processes and downstream activities.
- Support key digital product and order workflows, proactively identifying and resolving issues to safeguard deadlines and operational performance.
- Provide governance and administrative oversight for departmental applications, contributing to system effectiveness and the continuous improvement of processes.
- Provide the Merchandising Development team with daily support for operational activities and strategic functional objectives.
- Develop and maintain structured documentation repositories, enabling knowledge sharing, compliance, and consistency across the department.
- Continuously build subject‑matter expertise across relevant systems, tools, and processes, acting as a knowledgeable resource for the wider team.
- Contribute to new initiatives and projects, bringing insight, organisation, and cross-functional coordination to support successful delivery.
- Strong Excel skills (intermediate level advantageous).
- Clear communicator who builds good relationships and works well with others.
