Our welcoming and vibrant school communities in and around historic Bury St Edmunds are looking for dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistants to support their schools on temporary both day to day and longer term supply basis.

The Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Learning: Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging, play‑based activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum.

  • Observe and Assess: Keep accurate records of children's progress, noting those "lightbulb moments" to help shape their next steps.

  • Foster Independence: Encourage social skills, emotional resilience, and independence in daily routines (including outdoor play and mealtimes).

  • Build Partnerships: Maintain warm, professional relationships with parents and carers to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's growth.

  • Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and highly supportive classroom environment, adhering strictly to safeguarding policies.

About You

We are looking for people who genuinely love working with youngest learners and understand that no two days in Early Years are ever the same.

What You'll Need

  • Experience: Previous experience working within an EYFS setting or primary school environment.

  • Skills: A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, excellent communication skills, and a warm, approachable demeanour.

  • Attributes: High energy, a sense of humour, resilience, and a proactive "can‑do" attitude.
