Planner to Associate Director

Future Gen Recruitment is currently supporting a growing planning consultancy in Suffolk that is looking to appoint an experienced Planner through to Associate Director level professional to join their expanding team.

Due to a significant increase in the volume of new planning work — ranging from smaller local schemes through to larger and more complex developments — the practice is continuing to grow. The business has also recently expanded its service offering to include appeals and specialist expert witness work
, creating an exciting opportunity for an ambitious planner to join at an important stage in its development.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects while playing a key role in supporting the continued growth of a respected independent planning practice.

This position would suit a proactive and energetic planner who enjoys working across a wide variety of projects and is looking to develop their career within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

The role is flexible in terms of seniority, with opportunities available from Planner through to Associate Director level
, depending on experience and expertise.

• 5+ years’ planning experience within either the public or private sector
• Chartered Member of the RTPI (or working towards chartership)
• Strong knowledge of planning policy and development management processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive mindset and ability to work effectively within a team
• Additional complementary skills or specialist expertise that could enhance the wider practice will also be highly valued.

Salary: £35,000+ depending on experience

Location: Suffolk (with flexible working available)

Contract: Permanent or Part-time options available
