As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an Electronics Support Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bury St. Edmunds. The Opportunity

The Electronics Support Engineer provides technical support for the Company s electronic products and systems.

Key responsibilities include product testing and validation, fault diagnosis, technical investigations, manufacturing support, and the resolution of customer and internal technical enquiries.

The role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Sales functions to support the delivery, performance and ongoing development of electronic products, and provides technical support during customer visits and technical discussions where specialist product knowledge is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support
    • Provide technical support to customers, distributors and internal departments regarding product operation, application and installation.
    • Investigate and resolve product-related technical issues arising from manufacturing, field service or customer installations.
    • Support customer visits, site surveys and technical meetings alongside Sales and other AMOT personnel as required.
    • Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, product literature and customer-facing technical information.
    • Act as a point of contact for technical enquiries requiring engineering input.
  • Product Testing and Validation
    • Perform testing, verification and validation activities on electronic products and assemblies.
    • Develop, maintain and improve test procedures, test equipment and validation methods.
    • Diagnose faults identified during production testing and support root cause investigations.
    • Support qualification testing, product change assessments and new product introductions.
    • Maintain accurate records of testing activities and results in accordance with company quality procedures.
  • Manufacturing and Engineering Support
    • Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support the introduction, manufacture and ongoing support of electronic products.
    • Assist with the calibration, maintenance and verification of electronic test equipment.
    • Provide feedback from testing and field experience to support product improvements.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to product quality, reliability and manufacturability.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Support
    • Support product compliance activities relating to applicable UK, European and international standards.
    • Assist in maintaining technical documentation required for CE/UKCA marking.
    • Support compliance assessments for relevant directives and standards, including:
      • Low Voltage Directive (LVD)
      • Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive
