Financial Manager
At Rutherford Briant, we are supporting a well‑established organisation in Suffolk seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to provide critical support across reporting cycles, financial control, and year‑end activity. This 15‑month fixed‑term contract is ideal for a technically strong finance professional who can step into a fast‑paced environment, bring structure to the finance function, and partner closely with the Group Financial Controller.
Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day financial management and reporting in collaboration with the Group Financial Controller.
- Oversee cash controls, ensuring strong governance and effective oversight of the organisation’s financial position.
- Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, driving accuracy and resolving variances in a timely manner.
- Support the delivery of year‑end processes, ensuring financial records are complete, well‑documented, and audit ready.
- Assist with group consolidations where required, ensuring consistency and technical accuracy.
- Act as a key contact during the external audit, preparing schedules and responding to queries efficiently.
- Maintain high technical standards across the finance function, with a strong focus on double‑entry principles.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes, strengthen controls, and improve reporting quality.
- Full qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Availability at short notice, with the ability to quickly embed into an interim assignment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and a clear understanding of debits and credits.
- Proven experience supporting year‑end activity and external audits.
- The confidence to operate both strategically and operationally within a busy finance team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across the business.
- A competitive salary between £65,000 and £70,000.
